some masking projects to deconstruct _ I uploaded the files again after class and all is well in the world. We may never know what happened to the original upload.
Use a mask to make the water ripple. Right-click for an image file to download. Whoops, although the file is set for 100ppi resolution (appropriate for display on a monitor) you will find that the image is 780x600px. That's large on purpose so you have something to play with.
Right-click for the .fla file that was used to create this project. The practice of "de-constructing" a file is a great way to learn techniques.
Use a mask to make the water ripple as if a pebble was thrown in the middle of the pond. Realize that a stop action would be placed at the end of the movie clip so the water would ripple out and stop. Also realize that multiple versions of the movie clip could be offset and resized to simulate the ripples more true to life. This is only an examople. Right-click for an image file to download. This image is 5x7" at 100ppi.
Right-click for the .fla file that was used to create this.
Make your world spin. I didn't spend much time on this, and there is a lurch in the image when the file loops. Right-click for the .fla file. Right-click for the image file.

Stock Photos - royalty free and price is free - check sxc.hu (stock exchange). I also belong to StockExpert...their big cousin. You pay for those photos, but it is extremely reasonable and you will find better work. Both of these sites are collaboratives. It is interesting to see how they work.
